In the quest to uphold the Uniform Code of Military Justice the Obama Administration, using the little-known legal doctrine of "Extraordinary Extradition"*, has taken into custody a soldier alleged to have deserted some 5 years ago. As part of the process a small number of Taliban detainees were extradited to Qatar.
The soldier in question will now be investigated for possible charges under the UCMJ. If not charged or found Not Guilty by a properly seated Court Martial, he will be released.
